Biography

EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS

Robert was born in New York City and raised on Long Island, New York.  He attended Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, where he majored in History and graduated with honors.  Robert attended Ohio State University College of Law and graduated in 1978 with a Juris Doctorate.  He later attended the business college at Ohio State and received a Masters Degree in Labor and Human Resources Management.  

Robert received certification as a Professional in Human Resources from the Society for Human Resources Management. 

Robert's law licenses include the Arizona and New Mexico Bar Associations and has been admitted to the United States Federal District Court both in Ninth and Tenth Circuits. 
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Robert worked for the Ohio Civil Rights Commission where he was responsible for the investigation and disposition of employment discrimination complaints involving unlawful employment practices.  Later he worked for various corporations and organizations in Human Resources Management holding positions of manager and director.  

Lawyer Martinez has developed a successful private law practice spanning a period of over fourteen years by limiting his practice to Civil Rights including Labor and Employment issues.  Lawyer Martinez's past cases include issues involving job discrimination based on Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (race, national origin, gender, pregnancy, gender, sexual harassment, and retaliation).  Additional cases involved the following federal laws: Equal Pay Act; Family Medical Leave Act; Americans with Disabilities Act; Age Discrimination in Employment Act; National Labor Relations Act; State Unemployment Appeals; and State Human Rights Act.   
PERSONAL

Robert lives in Mesa which is a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona.  Throughout his life, Robert has been an avid traveler.  Robert has traveled to 98 countries and has been around the world three times.  One of Robert's favorite places is Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon.
